Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and television star who rose to fame in the 1990s when she was Hugh Grant's girlfriend. Hurley was instantly noticed by the media in 1994 when Grant received worldwide recognition due to the popularity in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie wearing the Versace Dress that had a plunge, and was held with gold safetypins. Hurley's association with Estee Lauder, a cosmetics manufacturer, has been regarded as a defining moment in her professional career. Hurley began her modeling gig at the Estee-Lauder company at the age of 29 years old. The company has used Hurley as a model for their products specifically for perfumes like Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best well-known role in the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me, both of which became hugely popular. Hurley is currently a model and designer for an eponymous beachwear line. Perry's efforts to achieve popularity in the mainstream were unsuccessful. Before any new material could be released the two major labels had signed and were able to drop Perry. Capitol Records released Perry's Ur So Gay EP in 2007, and received some interest due to its flippant song. I Loved a Girl a straightforward ode that expresses sexual desire accompanied by an electro-pop beat that was hardedged made her a larger splash just a few months after. The song was controversial and critics were critical of it for encouraging same-sex relationships and other charged that it portrayed a racy scene that enticed men's desires for sexuality in women. I Kissed a Girl was an immediate hit for Perry's of the same name in 2008. of the Boys in 2008, thanks to the combination of titillation combined with polished music. Hot N Cold, Perry's bouncy and sharply-tongued album with the song that was its second biggest hit became a huge hit. The album which Perry wrote herself sold more than three million copies.
